Caulerpa Okamurae

Thallus compact, oval, rather firm, erect, 4–12 cm high, brilliant grass-green, consists of creeping stolons bearing erect branches and descending branched rhizoids. Erect branches closely arranged to each other, shortly stalked, simple or 1–2 times branched, densely covered with branchlets from all sides. At basal portion the branchlets are obovate and shorter than those (subclavate) at the upper portion, 2–5 mm long, 1–1.5 mm in diam., on short stalk with constriction below the branchlets. Creeping stolons cylindrical, glabrous and glossy, 1–1.5 mm diam., spread in all directions and forming dense mats. Growing on hard substrate in the intertidal zone.
