From the 20th to 29th of October, 2023 Shenzhen MSU-BIT University has organized the second "NAUKA 0+" Science and Culture Festival, Shenzhen, China.

Shenzhen MSU-BIT University was established due to Memorandum between the Russian President V.V. Putin and Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping. This is a joint Russian-Chinese University established by People’s government in Shenzhen, Lomonosov State University and Beijing Institute of Technology. The goal of the University is the establishment of a unique international, comprehensive academic institution for the implementation of "One Belt – one Way" initiative, for achievement of higher academic results, staff preparation for Russian-Chinese strategic cooperation and for regional social-economic development of both countries.

Due to the Second Science and Culture Festival, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the NSCMB FEB RAS and Shenzhen MSU-BIT University for 10 years. There were two signs on the Memorandum: the NSCMB FEB RAS Director, RAS Corresponding member Igor Yu. Dolmatov and the Shenzhen MSU-BIT University Rector Dr. Li Hezhang.

The areas of research cooperation will be focused on marine biology in all its aspects:

• Biodiversity research;
• Biotechnology;
• Deep-sea research (the organization of joint expeditions);
• Exchanging researchers, scientists and PHD students;
• Internships for scientists.

The joint work will be carried out within Memorandum supported by the Office of International Cooperation of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University and International Cooperation Department of the NSCMB FEB RAS.

Under the Second Science and Culture Festival the International Conference "Current Trends and Achievements in Life Sciences" "FRONTIERS AND CHALLENGES IN MODERN BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY AND MATERIAL SCIENCE", 25-27, October 2023, Shenzhen, China 2023 – Shenzhen MSU-BIT University was carried out. The NSCMB FEB RAS administration and scientists were invited for participation by the Shenzhen MSU-BIT University Rector Dr. Li Hezhang. The NSCMB FEB RAS Scientific Supervisor of the Center (President), the RAS Academician Andrei V. Adrianov was the Head of the Program committee in the conference. Academician Andrei V. Adrianov made a report "Deep-sea Resources of the World Ocean for the Sustainable Development of the Humankind" on the plenary session on the 25 of October 2023.

On October 26th, on the biology plenary session the Center Director, the RAS Corr. Member Igor Yu. Dolmatov made a report "Arising and variability of regeneration mechanisms” and also, the Deputy Director for Science Dr. Tatyana Yu. Orlova made a report "HABs and food safety threats in the East Asia”.
